When we officially take over the world, anyone who uses this abomination called ”mere ko” will be crucified.

    Well, in Hyderabadi lingo (a language that has been spoken for generations) “mere ko” is absolutely acceptable. Language has its own nuances based on which part of the country it is spoken in – why should it be unacceptable?

    Fair enough though this was more directed against punjabification of Hindi.

    But let me say this: The notion that language can be adapted and spoken as you please without any sense of grammar e.t.c makes me a little uncomfortable.

    Would you say the same for English?

    my not so extensive knowledge in Bollywood films indicates that this “mere ko”(as Rippu said “apun ko”) is more prominent in the coastal regions tilting towards Mumbai/West…
