Watching Two Different Games?

One here,

An appeal for caught behind on the next ball. Dhoni was one of the loudest appealers following his catch. The umpire is unmoved with replays clearly showing the ball bounced before being scooped up in Dhhoni’s gloves.[link]

Second here,

Johnson flashes a drive outside off-stump, Zaheer finds the edge but it sails safely to third man for four. There’s then a big appeal for a catch behind, all the Indian fielders go up but umpire Rudi is unmoved. The replay shows a clear inside edge, but Dhoni wasn’t sure if the ball carried – it looked like he wanted the third umpire consulted, but Rudi (rightly) ruled the ball had bounced just in front of Dhoni’s gloves[link]

Ah, well, We won, though!

  1. hehe, as I mentioned to you earlier, it is amusing to follow news.com’s tie itself into knots of jingoistic fervor.

In the print editions of The Australian, every second para keeps pointing out some form of on-filed behavioral transgression or the other (real or imagined) by the Indians. Pretty rich that such complaints are coming from the Aussies themselves.

Love it that we rubbed their noses into the Mohali pitch, now to finish the job in Delhi and win the series !
