How Times Change!

After Ganguly’s recent success in South Africa:

On Friday too, he did something he hasn’t in a long time: address Team India.

He told them about how he had adjusted his game to suit the conditions; how he takes a middle-stump guard in South Africa because it allows him to get behind the line better; about what he felt could make a difference to the side.It seems he has already made a difference. Coach Greg Chappell, having seen that Ganguly had not opened his mouth before his bat had talked, said: “Ganguly was doing the right thing. In Australia and South Africa, you need to get in line, get behind the ball and play from over it.”

Is this the same man? So universally reviled, one whose career was deemed to be finished! And hey, is the Chappell the same too? The way we embrace and then discard our heroes is something which has never ceased to amaze me. A few successful innings and there will be demands to make him the captain again.

As they say, it happens only in India!

seems to be a great beginning!Sustenance of this is going to be tough a challenge. Me not being cynical, but carving a bit of realism! you know, na, in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth n then hell!
Every player has a shelf-life and it may get extended for some more time if the revival of the packaging is done well..
else, as said in Jerry Maguire….”Have you ever gotten the feeling that you aren’t completely embarassed yet, but you glimpse tomorrow’s embarrassment?”….umm
it’s brilliant a movie: a simple plain truth!
“Everybody loved him… Everybody disappeared !”
