Norm Coleman Sr., the father of Minnesota’s junior senator, was cited for lewd and disorderly conduct Tuesday after police officers reported finding him engaged in a sex act in a car near a pizzeria on E. 7th St. in St. Paul.

Now if someone would tell me exactly what a ‘’sex act” is….

Anyway, this incident has raised quite a hoopla. I wonder why? Is it because the said gentleman is a sitting senator’s father?

Or is it because the said activity happened in a car. I would think that having sex in a car is a great American tradition, I mean which American can honestly claim he had not had this pleasure? Or which Indian can honestly claim he has not fantasized about the same?

Or is it because the Coleman senior is 81 years old. Now, in my books that calls for a medal to be awarded to Mr. Coleman henceforth. No?

On a serious note, affection and physical proximity between elderly is looked down upon in our society. I remember a sickening tale I read a few years ago, where a couple were taken to a psychiatrist by their son and his wife because they ‘caught’ them having sex. Idiots, I don’t think affection and desires can or should have any age barriers.
