A Sad Life Indeed….

….when a fellow blogger mails you at 1.00 am on a saturday night inviting you to join an online debate, assuming that on a saturday night, you have nothing better to do!

The saddest part?

He is quite right, you actually have nothing better to do and right ahead and join the discussion.

Sigh! And I am out of beer too. I might as well go ahead and commit virtual suicide. Or get married. Which is the worst?

heh

  1. Heh! I just got back from an English pub in Houston [of all places] after guzzling some good ‘ol English beer. The discussion was done while watching SNL (see, I might have a semblence of a life). But you know what?

Ash mentioned the same thing about lack of a life…and nope, being married would make no difference. It would just mean you would have company in having no life at all.

Heh! Ok, back to the discussion. I can see our friend is back!

  2. eh, is someone pushing to get you married off? I sense a forgein power involved in this sudden taking up of arms against marriage, not that I am for it..but still!

  3. getting married thinking it would give you a life is definitely worse:)

if its company one needs, better opt for a pet, they wont criticise you or your family and your family wont criticise it much (if its your choice).

it wont analyse everything you say
and wont complain much about the food as long its edibile.

it wont compare you with your friends

it wont say you are a loser. (the cats might look at you that way, but then, you dont have to actually hear it)

and best of all, you wont feel the compulsion to raise a family for the sake of all the dying grandmas and grandpas and end up in more trouble..

and rather than being up at 1 am, trying to tell the brat to sleep, or pouting on the couch because of an arguement with the spouse, better to enter an online debate…

  4. Confused

1.Has Wilt come back from his evening walk with his dog? Why am I getting this premonition that the Wilt Series on the Stereotypes of Prim {English…could be applied to Non-English cultures) family plot muddled with many sexual innuendo, suppressing a troubled seas of deceit and hatred, are poised to be revived again 2006-07?

    The Wilt Alternative/Wilt on High/Wilt Omnibus/
Wilt in Nowhere…..Wilt in the Vicinity?

*Henry Wilt, the protagonist from Tom Sharpe, the disgruntled soul, the demoralised lecturer who teaches English literature to the Tech in a polytechnic institute, and who writes logical notes on ‘beak-up of family life’ and by nights fantasizes about murdering his ghastly and dim-witted wife who too vigorously throws herself into many a dimension of life.

    2. Or is Sir Giles emerging from the prim and flawless flora and fauna of the unblotted landscape, who tries to dispose of the magnanimously capacious Lady Maude ?

3.Or am I seeing a few hues of John Cleese in the tale of murder, lust, greed and fish ‘A fish called Wanda’?

You know what Nietzsche said about animals? “They were God’s second blunder.”
I ask (who is the God’s first blunder?)

    my suggestion :

Get married dear boy…..can anything be worse than this? yea, an ‘embattled character’ with the riotous satirical edge would emerge as the outcome…

    Jyo

  5. Pat,

atleast you were out. So even in pub you carry your laptop along? :)

I think Ash is quite right, if we had any lives, we wont be blogging. At leas not about having not life at all.

heh! If you mean my mom, yes, if you mean someone ”else”, nono… :)

    WD,

ah! much knowledge comes. Yes, as soon as i start making osme decent money, I will start keeping dogs. My aim is to have six of them.

    Jyo,

    Nothing against animals, ok?

And please we were really low because of this Patrix boy, so we talked about marriage. Rest assured such thoughts have been banished for ever.

  6. At least u guys were up last night…..i was fast asleep by the time this interesting discussion was in progress. How much does that suck ? :-(

  7. i disagree! just because you’re argumentative at 1 AM doesn’t mean you’ve no life.

    /still in denial. :)
