In fact, because of people like Shekhar Gupta we witness so many riots. It’s the media that should be shipped to Pakistan (or for that matter Saudi) right away to preven any further detoriation in India.

Insightful piece. I read Somini Sengupta’s columns frequently. I am not able to make up my mind if she is crazy or brain dead.
Your comments on Shekhar Gupta are also accurate. These are also the kind of questions and comments that Rajdeep Sardesai put to Modi in interviews to ’saffron’ leaders on many occassions in the past. I find the entire NDTV trained brigade of journalists to be utterly unqualified for proper news reporting or analysis. Sadly NDTV and IBN are the media ‘giants’ in India. More than the security agencies and political class, it is our media that is utterly unprepared to handle terrorism and for that matter most serious issues.

The crap just keeps churning…Seriously hail all bandhs!!! The blogs, ofcourse the terrorist have no other way to communicate and they resort to this. The terrorists are smarter I am sure. ANyways bypass alternatives have already been found out. So smart is the security and capability to block sites, then think about country security!

I have seen so many hate groups against India by Pakistanis on Orkut and we have al appealed for its ban but nothing has happened. Maybe the Gvmt can have a look at the number of such Hate India sites.

i think dalitstan was banned a long time ago. (Of course, apart from hate it was also famous for promoting the idea of separate nations for Sikhs, Tamils etc.)

Wow.. gujarat is the fall guy now. Blame all the problems in the country on Gujarat now. And the dumb Indian media is actually confusing the Gujarat state govt with Gujarat and Gujaratis.

If the media ever had the guts, they should have been criticizing pakkis and kashmir. Clueless cowards, these Undie TV guys.

Would the dumb media (even Rupert Murdoch has higher standards than Undie tv , IBN etc) please note that not all people in Gujarat vote for Modi. In fact, in the last general elections, bjp and congress got 50-50% seats each..

And yeah, Blogspot has been blocked by the government in India. Where are the usual secular congressis lurking on the blogs now. I cannot access any blogspot link.
